Convention Cats
I dreamed I was in a convention in San Jose, running a set of games both the new card game and the role-playing game. Introducing the new publications. I went back to the hotel after a long day, and the cats were eagerly waiting for me, coming out of their various carriers and cat beds to greet me. I wondered why the heck I had brought them to the convention. I had a number of now empty boxes - having sold almost out of both the card game and the roleplaying game. I got the remaining inventory into a single box and let the cats hop around playing in the other boxes.
I really wasn't looking forward to the drive home, as I remembered the cats howling the whole eight hours of the trip up. At least this time they wouldn't be crowded two to a carrier. I went to work on a couple of my stock boxes, turning them into cat carriers with little windows so their fluffy occupants could look out and see the scenery rolling by. I may have gone a little overboard, as I then put six together in a little maze, cutting out cat doors so I could fill the entire back deck with them and allow the cats to roam from "room" to "room."
Before bed I inspected the room, glad to find that there was no cat damage. Teddy was very demanding, but Little John, Giles and Ember Button were fairly calm and seemed to be relaxed about the whole thing.
All the while this dream was going on I couldn't stop wondering what had possessed me to take the cats on the trip with me.
