Tall Ships, Tall Lizards

Tall ships, and tall waves made repelling the Lizardman boarders tricky. The sheer volume of the ship’s cannons and the musket fire, mixed with the growling and hissing of the invaders’ lasers made concentration impossible. 

In the dream I could only try to survive, but the part of me outside the dream wondered two things: How would anyone ever know about this, since none of us would survive? And what did aliens with laser pistols need with an old half rotted wooden sailing ship?
